Im currently been working on friends new custom bike companies branding (Project coming soon) and have found myself becoming more and more interested and appreciative of beautiful bikes. I found Boutique Cycles the other day which is jammed with lovely racers, fixies, mountain and trick bikes. Very nicely designed website too. I think I am going to invest in a few bikes when I get back to Glasgow in August . If anyone has any advice for what I should get to start with then please let me know, possibly a hybrid for city riding and a fixie for the weekend? I’ll keep you posted.

I absolutely love the work of former Glasgow School of Art grad Benedict Radcliffe. I remember seeing the BMW bonnet of Marylyn Monroe in a shop on Great Western Road in Glasgows West End near my old apartment a few years back and always loved it. He’s now in London and still producing some top stuff, especially loving the Fluro fixies (top).

Search the for BKMD posts using the filter drop down menu below. If you have any sites you think should be BKMD'D then email greig@effektivedesign.co.uk
