Join the debate

My friend Neil at After the News got in touch to tell me about this interesting event taking place on Thursday October 23rd (6 till 8:30pm), Market Gallery, in conjunction with the Scottish Design Non-Awards. They will be hosting a debate on the role of awards in design education and industry.

Both sides of this particularly topical debate will be put forward, followed by an open floor discussion in which everyone can participate. Drinks and light refreshments will be provided.
Further information can be found here along with a pre-debate survey which we’re using to get an overview of peoples thoughts on this topic.

Design and Design Book 2009

Design and Design are gearing up to release the 2009 edition of the book containing 730 images (365 Graphic Design and 365 Product Design) that were featured as a design of the day for each day in the past year.  Happily I have been awarded 7 designs of the day (leading UK contributor) and thus will have seven pages of work in the upcoming book due to be released in January. The book comes with a hot foil stamped hardcover and will cost 55euros. Check out the site here for more info and to buy a copy.

Hello There!

So the move to Sydney is just about complete and last week saw me start my new job at Surry Hills based agency There. I am very excited to be There (hmm) and am looking forward to being able to add (hopefully) to the fantastic work that they already do There (Oh dear) over the coming months. Check out the studio above and some of ‘our’ recent work here
